How do I shop for the right Teacher Training Program?

  • Ask questions. Lots of them. Questions like, how long has your studio been training and certifying teachers.  Look for teachers who have been teaching for 5 years or more.
  • Watch out for programs that are:
    • Too brief. You can’t learn everything about Pilates in a week or a month.
    • Crammed with back-to-back with course work and don’t allow you go to at your own pace.
    • Inflexible about allowing you to make up work.
    • Too long and drawn out over an extended period of time.
    • Taught in “Levels.” It’s hard to follow and integrate the material.
    • Rife with hidden fees and policies – add up ALL fees to complete the program.

What if I miss a class? Can I make it up later?

We understand that you may not be able to foresee every conflict, so if you must miss a class you can make it up by scheduling a private appointment with one of the instructors. The price is $150 for an 2hour session.

How large are the Teacher Training classes?

From 2 to 8 people, maximum of 12.

Are books and training materials included in the price of the training?

Our cost for the different modules is all-inclusive including a very comprehensive manual.

What is included on the test?

The test is in two parts - the written exam which tests your knowledge and problem solving skills, and a practical exam to demonstrate grasp of teaching techniques.

What is your refund/cancellation policy?

A minimum of 2 enrolled students is required to begin the course, with a maximum of 4 students for any module. If the minimum is not met a week prior to the start of a course, the course will be cancelled and all prepaid fees will be fully refunded.

If you cancel 14 days prior to the start of the training, your $200 deposit may be transferred toward a future teacher training and you will be refunded the remaining balance. If notice of cancellation is received less than 14 days prior to the start of the training, you will forfeit your $200 deposit but your remaining balance will be refunded.
